As a part of the Diamond Jubilee celebration of the Mysore Diocesan Educational Society(MDES) , St. Joseph’s Central School , Vijayanagar , organised a rally to spread awareness about the importance of maintaining a clean and green environment.
As part of our commitment to environmental sustainability, our school has partnered with ITC Paperboards for a special waste reduction initiative. This collaborative effort aims to promote eco-conscious practices among students and staff by reducing paper waste and encouraging recycling. Under this program, students actively brought used paper and other recyclable materials from their house and in return were given various stationery items and medals for the students who brought more recyclable materials , which were then responsibly processed by ITC Paperboards. Through interactive session by Mr. Shreyas, ITC paper board educated our students on recycling, reusing resources, and minimizing their ecological footprint. This initiative not only helped reduce waste on campus but also instilled a strong sense of environmental responsibility among young minds. We are proud to contribute to a cleaner, greener future and look forward to more such meaningful collaborations
St. Joseph’s Central School, Vijaynagar, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The event took place on 15th August 2025 in the school premises and was attended by students, teachers, and parents. The chief guest for the occasion was Rtd. Brigadier Mr. Vinod Adipaa, who hoisted the national flag and addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech on the significance of freedom and the responsibilities of citizens. The program included patriotic songs, dances, speeches, and short dance drama by students highlighting the sacrifices of our freedom fighters. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks and the singing of the national anthem, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of pride and patriotism.
